Maurice Schutte

producer, director, public-speaker

Based in Amsterdam, Maurice has been active as a producer and director for over a decade in television and live broadcasts. His lifelong passion for film finally got the better of him and he decided to switch things up in 2016. The festival favorite short The Invisible Man, the animated prologue for Space Beers and the refugee-documentary Home in Between followed soon after and set the pace for things to come. He has several other movies on his slate; the next being the horror-comedy Kill Me First! and the the psychological thriller The Occupant.

Fun fact: Maurice is (jokingly) known for demanding budget for a helicopter because, to quote him: "helicopters make everything better".

OnePlayer Virtual Productions

OnePlayer Virtual Productions is an initiative to create a bridge between traditional filmmaking and - with the help of game engines such as Unreal - the strong possibilities of virtual production. To realize this I opened a dedicated (motion-capture) studio space in Amsterdam North where other filmmakers and interested individuals can get hands-on impressions of everything virtual production. | Visit OnePlayer.nl

Public-Speaker

Post pandemic I'm dusting off my two talks and can be found on stage again as speaker. Back from hibernation is my talk BEER, ALIENS, AND BLOCKCHAIN, a with anecdote filled presentation about the film development and how Blockchain technology and brewing beer is financing the production of SPACE BEERS.
